You know that time when you were a kid? You know when you got excited? Some of us would jump up and down and some of us would run on the spot and some of us would just explode into a million different gestures doing all dancing ’round the room and stuff.
I used to bring my hands together and move my fingers around like two five legged horses kicking each other. Come to think of it, when I do this now my hands look a little like a cross-section of a V10.
Anyway, McLaren are going to reveal a new car called the 650S. Expect to see it at the Geneva Motor Show, and the covers to come off at precisely 11:00 GMT on stand 1240.
Now, when I say new car, I’d wager a bottle of Fleurie on it being a stripped back version of the MP4, a la Ferrari 458 Speciale. Or the Special, if you’re a normal person.
McLaren say, ‘Designed and developed to offer the enthusiast driver the ultimate in luxury, engagement and excitement, as well as dramatic yet beautiful styling, the McLaren 650S is the result of 50 years of competing, and winning, at the highest levels of motorsport. It takes learnings from both the 12C as well as the sell-out McLaren P1 and will be positioned between the two on McLaren Automotive’s supercar grid’.
Hmmm. Luxury? On a paired back light-weight super-car? I might just be about to lose a bottle of red…
